Let It Be is the twelfth and final studio album by the English rock band the Beatles.It was released on 8 May 1970, almost a month after the group's public break-up, in tandem with the documentary of the same name.Concerned about recent friction within the band, Paul McCartney had conceived the project as an attempt to reinvigorate the group by returning to simpler rock 'n' roll configurations.. A new reissue of Let It Be includes four discs of live material, demos, alternate takes, and lost mixes, shining a light on the brilliant and tumultuous process of what would become the Beatles.

Read more. "Let It Be" is a song by the Beatles, released in March 1970 as a single, and (in an alternate mix) as the title track of their album Let It Be. It was written by Paul McCartney, but credited to Lennon-McCartney. It was their final single before McCartney announced his departure from the band (by that time, Lennon had already left).
